This park is absolutely beautiful. The grass is green and very well maintained, there is plenty of parking, a cute little train ride, and even pedal boats on a lovely lake full of ducks. Everything feels very clean and peaceful, including the restrooms, which were surprisingly spotless. Unfortunately, our experience on the hiking trails was stressful. My husband, my dog, and I went for a hike, and there was an overwhelming number of bikers riding at very high speeds. Many of them seemed to have little concern for pedestrians. They would ring their bells aggressively for people to move out of the way immediately, or suddenly appear from behind going very fast. It becomes especially dangerous when bikers are coming from both directions because you often don’t notice them until they are right next to you. The reckless biking honestly made me nervous, especially because my dog would occasionally switch sides on the trail without realizing he could easily get hit by a bike. I really think the park should consider enforcing a speed limit for bikers or creating safer shared-trail rules for walkers, families, and pets. Other than that issue, the park itself is truly gorgeous and worth visiting.

Super nice park with something for everyone! There’s a great playground for kids, plenty of parking, and beautiful trails around the lake where you can rent paddle boats. It’s a fantastic spot for biking or walking — the trail runs all the way from Lexington reservoir through the park down to Meridian Avenue. Picnic areas make it easy to relax and enjoy the day, and in December the Fantasy of Llights display is absolutely fantastic. A wonderful place to meet people, get some exercise, or just unwind. Highly recommended!

This park has miles of paved paths for walking, jogging, and biking. Visitors can also rent paddle boats or rowboats and go kayaking. There are large grassy lawns, picnic tables, and playgrounds. We saw a small train circle through the park. Our goldendoodle promptly appointed herself as the goose relocation officer, enthusiastically ensuring the geese kept moving along. We spotted lovely wildflowers along the paths. There’s something about the gentle scenery, the lake views, and the happy buzz of people enjoying the outdoors that makes this park special. Needless to say, we will be back for more lakeside wonders.
