Katherine Paseman★★★☆☆I’m surprised I’m leaving this review. I used to love this place and considered it a must check out destination in Walnut Creek. However, They recently made changes to their menu, i think raising prices and changing their selection. The breakfast sandwiches and chia seed pudding i’d always recommend are off the menu. I think some of my favorite toasts are gone too. I’d be excited to try their new options but am quite discouraged after the fruity matcha I ordered today. It was incredibly watery, I think with less puree than they previously had in their matcha. It was mostly milk. The appearance of the new menu bothered me more than I expected. The canvas looks cheap and really brings down the whole vibe. Not a thing id usually care about, but this is a place I come to get work done because i loved the beautiful atmosphere. These new menus really bring down the luxe experience i’d come to expect. They also have done away with their rewards program. They previously had punch cards which i was told was going to be replaced by the app, but the new app doesnt appear to have any kind of loyalty features. Overall, if I’m spending $15 on a drink for two hours of wifi, I expect the atmosphere and beverage to be a five star experience. Really bummed that my favorite work spot has changed so much in the blink of an eye.

I really love the plant wall, really curious how they maintain that haha. Food is solid as well but the coffee is the real show. Their holiday varieties are my favorite.

Danny Zepeda★☆☆☆☆I don't leave negative reviews because I understand how much they can impact a small business, but this experience really disappointed me to the point that I took an hour out of my time to sign up on Yelp and write a review on yelp and on Google. I discovered Tellus about 4-5 months ago and have been coming almost every weekend for an açaí later smoothie and a breakfast sandwich. I genuinely enjoyed the place and even told friends and family about it. I also learned about their “buy 10 drinks, get one free” card and was happy to participate about three months ago. When I went in to purchase my 10th drink, I was told that as of January 1st they no longer honor the punch cards. While I understand policies can change, I asked if they could honor it since I was already on my 10th purchase and had been incentivized to continue buying with the promise of a free drink. I assumed the manager would understand, but unfortunately, he refused and said I still would need to buy my 10 cup to get a free one and we no longer are honoring it. What bothered me most is the principle. Over the last couple of months alone, I’ve spent roughly $25–$30 per visit sometimes more when bringing my wife and kids easily over $300 the past 10 visits. Refusing to honor a $6 drink to keep a loyal customer happy felt unnecessary and dismissive. It’s not about the money, but about trust and goodwill. The incentive encouraged continued business, and not honoring it left me feeling taken advantage of. It was a disappointing way to treat a regular customer who genuinely supported and promoted the business.
