May Nissen Park is a very spacious park with a nice, clean playground area for kids. However, a few of the spring rides were broken during our visit, which was disappointing. There is also a lack of clearly marked pedestrian crossings in certain areas, making it a bit difficult to cross the street safely. While the park has great potential, we noticed a few safety and family-friendly issues. Some owners had their dogs off-leash, which made a few children uncomfortable, and there were people openly drinking alcohol around the picnic tables. Overall, it’s a large space that is especially nice in the evening, but better maintenance and supervision would vastly improve the experience for families.

May Nissen is very nice neighborhood park. There are some homeless people stay there which makes some areas unclean and full of smoke. So, it not good for kids from that perspective. There is a dog park. Mostly empty. Not many people go there. Good for large dogs who want to play alone.
