Renee★★★★★Taylor the owner and creator of this cafe is exceptional. Not only has he seriously studied everything coffee, with award winning mentors and has a food science degree from UC Davis but he loves running this super nice cafe with cool ambiance in Walnut Creek at a mellow shopping center. I had my first ever Lavender Latte here and it was heavenly! Taylor explained they distill their own lavender flowers according to strict methods and the result is just the right amount of quality lavender in the mix. Ahhhh. I was just in getting some water after sitting outside at their tables in the shade, and he was telling another customer that he weighs the beans before grinding then weighs the output in a brew. If it’s not right he’ll dump it and start over. Now that’s a real connoisseur. Staff is also friendly and great. We come here often. Have yet to try their gelato but we met Joey who hand makes it. My friend told her her parents have been to Italy often and told her this gelato is the best they’ve ever had outside of Italy. That’s saying something. Yum, can’t wait.
