Ksenia Postolnik★★★★★I recently had the pleasure of stopping by this charming establishment right after my regular walk in the park, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. I decided to explore their wine selection and was warmly greeted by the owner, Ryan (I hope I got his name right). Feeling like it was a white wine kind of day, I opted for a tasting of three European wines. My choices included the '22 Chardonnay from Domaine Givot-Goisot, Chablis, France, the Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine Sautereau,Sancerre, France, and the '18 Promara, Tsiakkas, Cyprus. To my delight, the owner also offered me a sample of the '20 Chardonnay from Domaine Eden in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I must say, I was truly captivated by the Cyprus wine; it was wonderfully light and creamy. This store is a gem for wine enthusiasts, with a diverse selection from all around the world. It's now my go-to place for discovering excellent wines beyond the borders of California. Thank you for the delightful experience!

KC C★★★★★We visited back in July of 2020 and I am just barely getting this review up and running. The hubby and I discovered this little hidden gem during the early days of the pandemic. Since gyms were closed, we did a lot of walking and thankfully so, bc we wouldn’t have discovered Enoteca Direct. We first visited to pick up a few bottles of wine, then became wine members shortly after. Then on a warm summer evening, we did an impromptu wine tasting. We had the pleasure working with Ryan; he was knowledgeable and educated us on all kinds of stuff. The wine club is great bc they have so many options and it’s so affordable. We are currently doing two bottles a month of just ITALIAN wine and I believe the cost is either $30 or $35. We have never had a pickup that has failed us. If you get a chance, stop by and do a wine tasting, then pick up some wine. I love the location too bc it’s not overly busy like the downtown area. I will definitely be back and SOON!

We had a gift certificate for a champagne and oyster tasting, and it exceeded all expectations. The oysters, provided by The Bywater next door, were paired with a variety of sparkling wines and champagnes. These weren’t your typical big-brand selections; instead, we enjoyed unique wines from small, intriguing wineries. Ryan, the owner, expertly guided us through each tasting, answering all our questions and helping us appreciate the distinct characteristics of each wine. It was an absolute treat. Whether you're looking for a couple of bottles for the fridge, something special for the weekend, or a truly decadent choice, Ancora has it all, catering to every budget. After visiting Ancora, you'll never need supermarket wine again! Plus, you'll always have something interesting to bring as a gift. Did we mention their extensive vinyl LP collection?
